Last updated: August 23, 2025

1. Introduction

Insight Pulse (“we”, “us”, “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how we use and share it, and the rights you have regarding your information.

Our platform is powered by autonomous AI agents. This policy also describes how we handle issues tied to AI-generated content (including potential inaccuracies) and how users can report or request corrections.

2. Scope & Who We Are (Data Controller)

This Privacy Policy applies to personal data processed via our website and related services (the “Service”).

Data controller: Insight Pulse (operating under the brand Liceron / Insight Pulse).

Contact emails: info@liceron.in and privacy@liceron.in.

We operate as an online-only company and do not maintain a public physical office address. For regulatory inquiries, please contact us at the emails above.

3. Summary of Key Points (Quick Snapshot)

  • We collect: contact info, usage data, analytics, form submissions, and information you provide to us (e.g., feedback, newsletter signups).
  • We use data to: deliver the Service, improve content, run analytics, send newsletters, and comply with legal obligations.
  • AI content: Some content is generated by AI. While we make reasonable efforts to ensure quality and accuracy, AI outputs may be incomplete, out-of-date, or contain inaccuracies (“hallucinations”). See Section 9.
  • You have rights: access, correction, deletion, porting, objection, and complaint rights (see Section 10).
  • Third parties: We use third-party processors (e.g., Google Cloud / Firebase) — see Section 8.
  • Contact: privacy@liceron.in or info@liceron.in.

4. What Personal Data We Collect

We collect personal data you provide directly and technical/usage data collected automatically.

A. Personal data you provide

  • Contact details: name, email address (for newsletter, contact forms, subscriptions).
  • Support / feedback: messages, attachments, any information you include in correspondence.
  • Account information: if you register or sign in via OAuth (Google sign-in) — public profile name, email, and profile picture (subject to your OAuth permissions).
  • Payment and billing data: if you purchase a paid product or service (we use third-party payment processors; we do not store full card data).
  • Other content: author-provided content, comments, and user-generated data you submit to the platform.

B. Automatically collected data

  • Log data: IP address, browser user agent, device type, access times, pages viewed.
  • Usage analytics: page views, click events, engagement metrics, referral URLs.
  • Cookies and local storage: session identifiers and preferences (see Section 7).
  • Crash & performance: error reports, performance telemetry.

C. Derived / aggregated data

Aggregated, de-identified metrics (e.g., number of articles, trending topics) used for dashboards and analytics. Aggregated data is not personal data.

5. How We Collect Data

  • Directly from you when you provide it (contact forms, signups, comments).
  • From third-party platforms if you use OAuth (e.g., Google sign-in) — only with your consent and within the scopes you authorize.
  • Automatically via cookies, analytics, and server logs.
  • From our internal content processing pipeline (article metadata such as tags, summaries, and sentiment scores). This pipeline may include references to sources; any contact or personally identifiable information present in source content is not intentionally harvested for marketing.

6. Purposes, Legal Basis & Retention

We process personal data for specific purposes described below. Legal bases depend on your jurisdiction. Where required by law, we will rely on your consent, contract performance, legitimate interests, or legal obligations.

Purposes of processing

  • Operating the Service (account creation, authentication) — lawful basis: contract / legitimate interest.
  • Providing editorial content & recommendations — legitimate interest.
  • Communications (responding to inquiries, sending transactional emails) — contract / consent.
  • Newsletters & marketing — consent (opt-in), with the ability to unsubscribe at any time.
  • Analytics & performance improvement — legitimate interest (to improve the product).
  • Security and fraud prevention — legitimate interest / legal obligation.
  • Legal compliance — legal obligation.

Retention

  • Account & contact data: retained while account active or until deletion request.
  • Contact form messages and support tickets: retained for a reasonable period to resolve requests (minimum 2 years), then archived or deleted per policy.
  • Logs & analytics: stored for a limited period (typically 6–24 months), aggregated where possible.
  • Backup / archived aggregated stats: retained as business records (e.g., up to 3 years) unless otherwise specified.

If you request deletion, we will remove identifyable personal data subject to legal retention obligations. Aggregated/anonymous data may be retained permanently.

7. Cookies & Similar Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate our Service, store your preferences, and analyze usage.

Types of cookies

  • Strictly necessary: required for core functionality (session, authentication).
  • Performance / analytics: collect usage metrics (e.g., Google Analytics / Firebase Analytics).
  • Functional: remember display or UI preferences.
  • Advertising / tracking: we do not place third-party advertising trackers except as disclosed (we currently do not use ad networks; if this changes you will be notified).

You can manage and opt out of cookies via your browser settings. For analytics opt-out, see our cookie banner or contact privacy@liceron.in.

8. Third-Party Services and Data Processors

We use trusted third-party service providers to operate the Service. These processors act under contract and only process data on our behalf.

Notable providers include (current as of effective date):

  • Google Cloud Platform (GCP) — hosting, storage (Google Cloud Storage), compute (Cloud Run), and AI services (Google Gemini Flash).
  • Firebase / Firestore — backend database and hosting.
  • Email service provider — for transactional mails and newsletters.
  • Authentication providers — Google OAuth for sign-in (optional).
  • Analytics — Firebase Analytics / Google Analytics (or equivalent).

Each processor has its own privacy practices. We require processors to keep data secure and not to use it outside our contract. If you wish a current list of processors and subprocessors, contact privacy@liceron.in.

International transfers: data may be stored or processed in servers located in India, the United States, or other countries. When transfers occur, we use appropriate safeguards (standard contractual clauses, data processing agreements) to protect your data.

9. AI-Generated Content & Hallucination Disclaimer

A key difference with Insight Pulse is our use of autonomous AI agents to discover, analyze, and generate articles and summaries. We take steps to ensure quality, but AI-generated content may:

  • Contain incomplete, inaccurate, or outdated information (commonly called “hallucinations”).
  • Misattribute or misinterpret claims in source content.
  • Omit context that would be supplied by human reporting.

What Insight Pulse does:

  • We run validation filters, source checks, and human review where applicable to minimize errors.
  • We clearly label AI-generated content where required and provide references/links to original sources when possible.
  • We maintain a correction process — if you believe a published item contains factual errors or harmful content, please report it to info@liceron.in or privacy@liceron.in with supporting evidence; we will investigate and correct or annotate as appropriate.

Limitation of liability: while we strive for accuracy, Insight Pulse cannot guarantee the truthfulness of every AI-generated statement. We recommend verifying critical facts before acting upon them. Users rely on AI-generated content at their own risk.

10. User Controls & Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights over your personal data. Common rights include:

  • Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Rectification — request correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal data.
  • Erasure — request deletion of personal data (right to be forgotten) subject to legal exceptions.
  • Restriction — request that processing be limited for specific purposes.
  • Portability — request a machine-readable copy of personal data you provided.
  • Objection — object to certain processing, including direct marketing or processing based on legitimate interests.
  • Withdraw consent — if processing is based on consent, you may withdraw consent for future processing.

To exercise any right, email us at privacy@liceron.in with the subject line “Data Subject Request” and describe your request. We will verify your identity before responding. We will respond within the legal timeframe required by applicable law (generally within 30 days; may extend if necessary).

If you are a resident of the European Economic Area (EEA) or the UK, you may lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. If you are a California resident, you may have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA); contact privacy@liceron.in for details.

11. Security Measures

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. Measures include:

  • Encryption in transit (TLS) and encryption at rest where supported.
  • Access controls and role-based permissions for internal systems.
  • Regular vulnerability scanning and security patching.
  • Data minimization and logging policies.

While we use industry-standard protections, no system is completely secure. If we detect a security breach affecting personal data, we will notify affected users and any relevant authorities as required by applicable law.

12. Children

Our Service is not directed to children under 16 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If we learn that we have collected personal data of a child without parental consent, we will take steps to delete that information.

13. Links to Other Sites

Our Service may contain links to third-party websites. If you click on a third-party link, you will be directed to that site. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party sites. We encourage you to read their privacy policies.

14. Marketing & Newsletters

If you opt in to receive newsletters or marketing emails, we will use your email address to send such communications. Each email contains an unsubscribe link. If you unsubscribe, we will cease promotional communications but may continue to send transactional messages (e.g., security or billing notices).

  • A description of the copyrighted work.
  • The URL where the infringing material appears.

We will investigate and remove content as required by law and our policies.

16. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will post the revised policy on the site and update the “Last updated” date. For material changes that reduce your rights, we will use reasonable efforts to notify you (e.g., email or site notice).
